500ng total RNA was labeled using the RNA biotin labeling flashtag biotin HSR RNA labeling kit (Affymetrix, Santa Clara, CA) as per manufacturer’s instructions

Labelled RNA was hybridized for 16 hrs at 48 degrees C on miRNA 2.0 GeneChips. GeneChips were washed and stained in the Affymetrix Fluidics Station 450 using fluidics script FS450_0003

GeneChips were scanned using Affymetrix 7G GeneChip Scanner using Affymetrix GeneChip Command Console Scan Control 3.1.01228 (Affymetrix 2009)
