Overall design
Bisulfite converted DNA from three tissues derived from 24 dyads, totalling 72 samples, were hybridized to the Illumina HumanMethylation450 BeadChips following the manufacturer's specifications.
Cord blood samples C1 and C20 in GSE54399 have been shown to have maternal blood contamination in an analysis reported in Morin et al., 2017, Clinical Epigenetics. Sample C1 likely has maternal blood contamination due to improper sample collection and Sample C20 is likely to be a mis-labeled maternal venous blood sample. These samples (GSM1314363 and GSM1314382) have been removed from this series.
