Title Electroacupuncture Alleviates Perioperative Hypothalamus-Pituitary-Adrenal Axis Dysfunction via CircRNA-miRNA-mRNA Networks [miRNA]
Organism Rattus norvegicus
Experiment type Non-coding RNA profiling by high throughput sequencing
Summary Electroacupuncture (EA) has long been used to treat surgery-induced hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis dysfunction. However, its target gene expression profiles in the brain remain unclear. Thus, the aim of the present study was to clarify the potential targets of EA based on RNA sequencing techniques (RNA-seq). Rats were randomly divided into normal control, hepatectomy surgery (HT), HT+EA, and HT+sham EA groups followed by RNA-seq of two representative nuclei in the hypothalamus and amygdala.

Overall design mRNA, miRNA, circRNA profiling analysis of mouse hypothalamus and amygdala with modeling of normal control, hepatectomy surgery (HT), HT+EA, and HT+sham EA
