The ovulation process is associated with LH/hCG-induced up-regulation of ASB9 mRNA and protein in granulosa cells of bovine preovulatory follicles. The study provides evidence that ASB9 reduces granulosa cells proliferation at the time of ovulation and could be involved in the final differentiation of granulosa cells into luteal cells.
