Title Active mRNA transcripts obtained using ribosomal pulldown from mouse myocytes (myofibers)
Organism Mus musculus
Experiment type Expression profiling by array
Summary We have generated mice expressing a hemagglutinin tag in the ribosomes of myocytes (Myogenin-Cre x RiboTag-Rpl22fl/fl-HA) to be able to isolate active (polysome-bound) myocyte transcripts under various experimental factors (e.g. sex, age, exercise status)
RNA was obtained by immunoprecipitation of HA-tagged polysomes of left leg solei

Overall design 5 wt control samples (sedentary) were analyzed to see the relative levels of myocyte expressed genes. This is a first release of a broader study on the effects of various experimental factors (e.g. sex, age, exercise status) on the active gene expression of myocytes
