Title Genetic mapping of multiple metabolic traits identifies novel genes for adiposity, lipids and insulin secretory capacity in outbred rats II
Organism Rattus norvegicus
Experiment type Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
Summary RNA-Seq was used in an attempt to identify candidate genes regulating metabolic and physiological traits

Overall design Physiological mapping identified physiological QTLs (pQTLs) affecting metabolic and physiological traits. Genes with cis-eQTLs mapped within each pQTL may may drive the physiological traits in a causal manner; and was assessed by mediation analysis.
