SRX13762497: Bacterial MSC-1 Isolate Sample from Rhodococcus sp. (WA-IsoG_MSC1_016) Genome Sequencing and Assembly
1 ILLUMINA (Illumina HiSeq X) run: 1.2M spots, 578M bases, 199Mb downloads

Design: Bacterial MSC-1 isolate for use in MSC-2 was prepared as previously described (https://0-doi-org.brum.beds.ac.uk/10.25584/WAIsoCMSC1/1635272). Genomic DNA was extracted using the ZymoBIOMICS DNA Microprep Kit and sequenced using Illumina HiSeq X technology (collecting ~630 Mbp per isolate genome). Raw reads were quality trimmed using bbduk (bbtools package), assembled using the SPAdes assembler (v. 3.13.1), and were then analyzed using the DRAM (Distilled and Refined Annotation of Metabolism) pipeline. KEGG orthologyy (KO) annotation numbers, using the KOfam database, were assigned as part of the DRAM pipeline.

PNNL Science Focus Area Project: Phenotypic Response of the Soil Microbiome to Environmental Perturbations, Model Soil Consortium 1 (MSC-1) Bacterial Isolate Genome Collections. Model soil consortium "MSC-1" multi-species cultured isolate genome collections are derived from a previously reported, naturally evolved, model soil consortia (WA-IsoC_MSC1.1.0; https://0-doi-org.brum.beds.ac.uk/10.25584/WAIsoCMSC1/1635272), originating from the IAREC grassland soil field site located in Prosser, WA, USA. This collection contains 8 different isolate species cultivated under variable carbon and nitrogen sources representing Model Soil Consortium 2 (MSC-2) follow-on studies.
Sample: MIGS Cultured Bacterial MSC-1 Isolate Sample from Rhodococcus sp.
