Summary: Analysis of hearts of C57BL/6 animals infected with the intracellular parasite Trypanosoma cruzi. T. cruzi causes Chagas disease which can lead to cardiomyopathy. Results provide insight into the molecular mechanisms underlying the innate immune response in the heart to T. cruzi infections.
