Alternative titles; symbols

ZINC FINGER PROTEIN 922; ZNF922
KIAA0352

HGNC Approved Gene Symbol: ZBTB39

Cytogenetic location: 12q13.3     Genomic coordinates (GRCh38): 12:56,998,836-57,006,546 (from NCBI)

TEXT

Cloning and Expression

Nagase et al. (1997) cloned ZBTB39, which they called KIAA0352, from a human brain cDNA library. The deduced protein contains 712 amino acids and shares weak homology with chicken Zbtb14. ZBTB39 had an apparent molecular mass of 87 kD by SDS-PAGE. RT-PCR showed weak expression of ZBTB39 in most human tissues examined, with highest expression in testis.

Mapping

By radiation hybrid analysis, Nagase et al. (1997) mapped the ZBTB39 gene to chromosome 12.

Gross (2021) mapped the ZBTB39 gene to chromosome 12q13.3 based on an alignment of the ZBTB39 sequence (GenBank AB002350) with the genomic sequence (GRCh38).
