2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin effect on cardiovascular development

Analysis of gestational day (GD) 17.5 fetal hearts isolated from pregnant C57BL/6Ns treated at GD 14.5 with up to 6.0 ug/kg 2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin (TCDD). TCDD, a cardiovascular teratogen, inhibits cardiomyocyte proliferation, a process that peaks between GD 14.5 to 17.5.
