Early lung immune response in tuberculosis: time course

Analysis of Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mt)-infected lung 0 to 21 days after infection. TB immunity is associated with IFNγ lung T helper cell type 1 (Th1) accumulation and Mt-infected macrophage activation. Results provide insight into immune events that occur prior to Th1 accumulation in TB lung.
Organism:
Mus musculus
Type:
Expression profiling by array, transformed count, 2 infection, 4 time sets
Platform:
GPL1261
Series:
GSE23014

Comprehensive profiling of the early lung immune responses in the mouse model of tuberculosis

(Submitter supplied) The lung host immune responses following M.tuberculosis infection in the mouse model of tuberculosis were assayed by studying the gene expression profiles at day 0, day 12, 15 and 21 post infection

Alternative activation deprives macrophages of a coordinated defense program to Mycobacterium tuberculosis

(Submitter supplied) A potent Th1 immune response is critical to the control of tuberculosis. The impact of an additive Th2 response on the course of disease has so far been insufficiently characterized, despite increased morbidity after coinfection with Mycobacterium tuberculosis and Th2 eliciting helminths and possible involvement of Th2 polarization in reactivation of latent tuberculosis. Here, we describe the gene expression profile of murine bone marrow derived macrophages alternatively activated by IL-4 to infection with M. more...

Single cell RNA sequencing analysis of fresh resected lung tissues from tuberculosis patients

(Submitter supplied) Fresh resected lung tissues were obtained from six tuberculosis patients with elevated pulmonary 18F-FDG avidity. Lung tissues with 18F-FDG avidity and nearby uninvolved tissues were profiled with single-cell RNA sequencing.
