Analyses of lncRNA and mRNA profiles in the recurrent atrial fibrillation after Catheter Ablation

(Submitter supplied) Our study aims to elucidate the role of lncRNA-mRNA regulatory networks in AF recurrence after catheter ablation. We performed RNA sequencing to profile the transcriptomes of 5 samples from atrial fibrillation recurrence and 5 samples from sinus rhythm maintenance. 96 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) and 203 differentially expressed long non-coding RNAs (DE-lncRNAs) were identified between atrial fibrillation recurrence group and sinus rhythm maintenance group. more...

RNA-sequencing of epicardial adipose tissue of patients with atrial fibrillation

(Submitter supplied) Accumulating studies have suggested that epicardial adipose tissue play an important role in the pathogenesis of atrial fibrillation (AF), but few have characterized the underlying mechanism between their interactions. Recent evidence suggested that bioactive molecules secreted from EAT, including exosomes carrying non-coding RNAs, may modulate atrial remodeling. The aim of the present study was to investigate the expression profile of mRNAs and ncRNAs in EAT with AF.

Differentially-expressed mRNAs, microRNAs and long noncoding RNAs in intervertebral disc degeneration identified by RNA-sequencing

(Submitter supplied) This study aimed to identify the crucial molecules and explore the function of noncoding RNAs and related pathways in IDD. We randomly selected 3 samples each from an IDD and a spinal cord injury group (control) for RNA-sequencing. We identified 463 differentially-expressed long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs), 47 differentially-expressed microRNAs (miRNAs), and 1,334 differentially-expressed mRNAs in IDD. more...

Analysis of Differentially Expressed Genes in Torn Rotator Cuff Tendon Tissues in Diabetic Patients through RNA-sequencing

(Submitter supplied) Background Rotator cuff tears (RCT) is a common musculoskeletal disorder in the shoulder which cause pain and functional disability. Diabetes mellitus (DM) is characterized by impaired ability of producing or responding to insulin and has been reported to act as a risk factor of the progression of rotator cuff tendinopathy and tear. Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) are involved in the development of various diseases, but little is known about their potential roles involved in RCT of diabetic patients. more...

Comparative Transcriptome Analysis Reveals immunoregulation mechanism of lncRNA-mRNA in Large Yellow Croaker (Larimichthys crocea) in Response to Cryptocaryon irritans Infection

(Submitter supplied) Cryptocaryonosis caused by Cryptocaryon irritans is one of the major diseases of large yellow croaker (Larimichthys crocea), which lead to massive economic losses annually. The pathogenesis for cryptocaryonosis has been researched by a series of transcriptome studies under different infection conditions. However, little is known about the roles of tissue-specifically expressed genes during the infection of C. more...
