(Submitter supplied) The purpose of this study was to examined the acute actions of the second generation antipsychotic (SGA), olanzapine, on skeletal muscle (gastrocnemius) of Sprague Dawley Rats. SGAs cause metabolic side effects including leading to metabolic inflexibility, hyperglycemia, adiposity and diabetes.
