(Submitter supplied) Background: Bacillus methanolicus MGA3 is a thermophilic, facultative ribulose monophosphate (RuMP) cycle methylotroph. Methylotrophy in this organism depends on the endogenous plasmid pBM19 although all ribulose monophosphate cycle enzymes are also encoded on the chromosome.
