We combined complementary methods, including whole-genome shotgun sequencing of Illumina short reads and PacBio long reads, BioNano optical genome mapping and genetic linkage maps, to produce a reference-quality chromosome-scale genome sequence for cultivated peanut, Arachis hypogaea.
